Scrapbook Steals Midweek Mojo #6

It's Mid Week Mojo time again over at Scrapbook Steals! I love using these sketches! I tilted and flipped the sketch to fit my pictures. I decided to use engagement pictures again. Hopefully I will be done with all of them soon! Then I will have to tackle the wedding and honeymoon pictures! Most of my supplies are from Stampin' UP. I started with a sheet of very vanilla cardstock. I used the Eastern Blooms stamp set to stamp the border all around the page with certainly celery and baja breeze ink. I really like how it turned out! I used the stamp that has 3 flowers on it and it was the perfect size to go all the way around! When I showed it to Steve he said he thought the paper came like that! Then I trimmed a sheet of baja breeze to go in the center. I used the 2 tiny stamps in that stamp set to go down the side of the pictures. And the flower on the left is also from the same set. I cut out the scalloped circle and "Laguna Gloria" from the Storybook cartridge using certainly celery cardstock. I love that font! Laguna Gloria is where we had our engagement pictures taken. The arrow stamp is the only thing I used that is not SU. It is from the Basic Grey Offbeat collection. I really like how that came out too! Enjoy!

I also managed to finish another page of engagement pictures using a LO that was somewhat set up from my friend Cheryl's stamp class using all of the same products.

My Pink Stamper Winter Challenge

I normally don't get in the craft room over the weekend. But we ordered a bunch of frames for our wedding and honeymoon pictures so Steve and I spent a good portion of the weekend "crafting!" Steve was glueing frames together so I got to play with my new gypsy! My Pink Stamper has a challenge up right now to make something wintery. I got all of my cartridges linked up to my gypsy and my cricut updated and I was ready to go! So this is my first attempt at a project using the gypsy. I am still not sure what all the buttons do and I haven't attempted to do any welding. For the most part it went pretty well. The layers for the snow globe looked like they were almost touching so one of them got a teeny bit cut off but hopefully you won't notice! Thanks for stopping by!

Recipe:

Joys of the Season cricut cartridge
Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses pp
Basic Grey Alpha Stamps
Diamond Stickles
Stampin' UP Bordering Blue ink

Mojo Monday #153, Wee Memories #19, OTWC #22

I made this card with the sketch from Mojo Monday #153. I used the color challenge from Off the Wall Craftiness #22. And Wee Memories #19 which was to incorporate sweet treats and/or ribbon.

Here is my recipe: Creative Memories square punch, DCWV pp, ribbon from my stash, Little Yellow Bicycle jewels, Stampin' UP stamps from Birthday Bliss, Wow Flowers, and Holiday Blitz, and Rose Red ink

Enjoy!

Back in the Craft Zone!

Today was my first day back in the craft room after my vacation. I had to spend yesterday unpacking and doing laundry. But at least my gypsy arrived yesterday afternoon! I got it plugged into the computer and I think I did what I was supposed to do, but now I am stuck. I plugged it into the expression but it didn't tell me what to do next. I will have to mess with it more this weekend. I didn't have much patience today because I really wanted to make something! I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches #56. And both Erin Lee Creative and 40:31 Creations were having a Halloween challenge.

Here is my recipe: Fancy Pants pp and ribbon, Doodlecharms and Stretch your Imagination cricut cartridges, Stampin' UP teeny tiny wishes stamps, basic black ink, and modern label punch

Thanks for stopping by!

Back from Vacation

Hey Bloggie Friends! I'm back from my vacation in Wisconsin visiting friends and family. I thought I would have a little time to post a few things while I was gone, but I was busy the whole time! We spent a few days at my dad's cabin on the lake with my brothers. It rained a little bit when we first got there, but was nice afterwards. It was so nice to have cooler weather! Then it was back to my moms! My mom and I found a thrift sale that had Stampin' UP stamps so I had to get a few! Had lots of fun hanging out with friends playing games and shopping. I even got to do a little shopping in my Mom's craft room! And my gypsy should be here by the end of the month! So I should have some new projects coming your way soon! Thanks for stopping by!

OTWC #20, Wee Memories #18, Frosted Designs Recipe

I made this card for 3 challenges. The inspiration photo above is from Off the Wall Craftiness #20. I love these colors! Wee Memories #18 was to use buttons, brads, or bling. And Frosted Designs had a recipe challenge where we had to use at least 5:

Here is a list of the ingredients:
1. Punch or punches
2. Felt
3. Ribbon
4. Pink, blue or purple
5. Flowers
6. Banner
7. Bird
8. Buttons
9. Butterflies
10. Glitter

Here is my recipe:
American Crafts ribbon
Making Memories Smooth Grapevine cardstock
Button from Noteworthy Audrey collection
Stampin' UP: Too Terrific Tags stamps, Chic Boutique stamps, Elegant Eggplant and Bashful Blue ink, large tag punch, pp

I inked the edges of everything including the felt. I wasn't sure how the felt was going to work but it turned out ok. I think I should have inked it a little more. It doesn't show up that well in the picture. I really like how this card turned out. I wasn't sure about the light blue with the rich purple at first but I really like it!

Scrapmaster's Paradise #61, C4C50, Pink Stamper Critter

I made this card using the colors for Scrapmaster's Paradise #61 challenge to use cherry cobbler, pumpkin pie, and tangerine tango. And for Crazy 4 Challenges C4C50 which was to include music somehow. And the Pink Stamper's challenge of using a critter. I used the Life is a Beach cricut cartridge to cut out the toucan with the card feature. I used diamond stickles for the eye and peeled paint for the wing. The stamp at the bottom is from Sassafras Song Writers. I really wanted to find a music note stamp or cut on a cricut cart, but was unable to so I had to resort to hand drawing. My drawing skills are not that great. I whipped this up pretty quickly this morning and it's not my favorite, but I think the toucan is pretty cute. Enjoy!

Scrapbook Steals Midweek Mojo #4

Mid Week Mojo is still rockin' at Week #4. I love the little tags on this sketch! One photo sketches are difficult for me. But I found a picture from Christmas 2008 at my Dad's. I used pp from Stampin' UP's Merry Moments. I cut the tags from Joys of the Season and the title from Storybook. The little tag in the bottom right corner and the paper flowers are from Making Memories Fa La La line. I think the Happy Holidays ribbon is from Michaels. The little cardinal sticker is from Making Memories Design shop Christmas. The red trim is from Making Memories Deck the Halls. You can check out the rest of the fabulous entries over at the Scrapbook Steals Facebook Fanpage here. Thanks for stopping by!

Smile!

This is a card I made for Fantabulous Cricut #22 which was to use the word Smile somewhere in your project. I also incorporated the colors from the Sisterhood of Crafters color challenge: red, orange, and green. Using these colors and the word smile, I thought of pumpkins! I decided to make it a Halloween card. I used the card feature from the Stretch your Imagination cricut cartridge and cut out the base of the card in orange (5 inches). Then the card frame in red. I wasn't sure what to do with the pumpkins at the bottom but then I remembered the Stampin' UP Holiday Blitz stamps set had a jack o'lantern face. It was the perfect size for these little pumpkins! I also used the ghost from this set on the inside. Happy Halloween is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used Handsome Hunter ink. I stuck a green piece of cardstock behind the pumpkin so that you couldn't see the inside of the card. I used the peeled paint distress stickles for the eyes of the pumpkin. S is for smile came from the Too Terrific Tags collection. Then I punched them out with the large tag punch. I hope you like it!

Leaping Lizards! I won!

You may remember seeing this card a few posts back. I entered it in 2 contests and won both of them! Over at Tuesday Morning Sketches, I won my choice of card from the design team. I picked the hello card with the cute little ducky! You can see it here. And over at Picture Perfect Creations, I was the Grand Creation winner!! Even more exciting, my cousin Maria, was the runner up! I have no idea what I won, but it will be a fun surprise when it gets here!

A Perfect Pair

This first layout is one that I did at my friend Cheryl's Stampin' UP class. I loved the colors and the stamps and thought it would be perfect to do my engagement pictures. It says "A Perfect Pair" on the ribbon. This is my favorite of all of our pictures. So I had to order the certainly celery, baja breeze, and very vanilla cardstock, matching ink, and the Eastern Blooms stamp set. I picked up my order this morning and got right to work!

I decided to use the sketch from Scrapbook Steals Mid Week Mojo. I had to tilt the sketch on its side to accommodate my vertical pictures. I stamped several of the flowers and then punched them out with a circle punch and then added dimensionals to make them pop on the page. The title, A Wish Came True, came from the Storybook cricut cartridge cut at 3 inches. I didn't do any journaling yet because I realized I don't have the right pens. I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Leaping Lizards!

For this card I used the PPC Color Combo #24 and the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches #53. I used the certainly celery to cut out the "fun in the sun" gecko from the Life is a Beach cricut cartridge. I used generic cardstock for the card base and umbrella (also cut from LIAB). I used a creative corner punch on the "melon mambo" square. I stamped happy birthday from Stampin' UP's Teeny Tiny Wishes and then punched it out with the modern label punch. "Leaping Lizards" came from Basic Grey's Epsilon collection. I used SU's Always Artichoke ink on the stamps since I didn't have old olive. I used a Martha Stewart edger punch along the bottom of the card front. I hope you like it!

Flower Power!

I made this card for a few challenges:
Off the Wall Craftiness #18: use the colors blue, yellow, and white
Wee Memories Challenge #16: use chipboard
Mojo Monday #150: sketch
Made by Momo: use flowers

Here is my recipe: pp by Pebbles in my pocket, May Bouquet Collection
American Crafts ribbon
yellow jewel stickers by White Blossom
K&Company chipboard: I used a sponge dauber to color in the 2 chipboard pieces with the Crushed Curry and Night of Navy ink.
corner rounder
Inkadinkado Floral Flourishes stamp
Stampin' UP supplies: edger punch, modern label punch, Night of Navy and Crushed Curry ink, and stamps from: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Little flowers, Whimsical Words

I really like how this card came out. It took me forever to figure out what I was going to do, but once I did, it came together quickly! I even did the inside of the card. I hope you enjoy it!

Scrapbook Steals Midweek Mojo #2

Well I am pushing this right to the deadline tonight! The power went out for about 1/2 and hour and I was frantically trying to finish this layout! I had to go find a flashlight! It was a little difficult to hold the flashlight and glue things to my page at the same time! Thankfully the power did come back on! This is a 2 page LO for Scrapbook Steals Midweek Mojo #2. I used some pictures with my friends, Nicole and Sarah, from Christmas 2008. I used the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses collection for the pp and brads. The die cuts are from the Joys of the Season cricut cartridge. The ribbon is from Stampin' UP. The journaling page is from one of my prizes from Scrapbook Steals! It is from the Fancy Pants Dancing Girl line. The title is a rub on from Imaginisce Polar Expressions (also a prize from SS). I hope you like it!
