Happy 90th Birthday!

Talk about last minute! My grandma's 90th birthday is coming up next week and I finally decided what I wanted to do for her. My husband and I are flying up to see her for the big day. We are going to have a fun filled week of birthday celebrations and family reunion! Anyway, I decided that I should make her a mini album that she can put the pictures from the party in! I have this Creative Memories album from back in the day that I never found a use for. It is 7x7 which I thought would be an odd size, but it turned out to be a great size! This way she doesn't have to crop her 4x6's too much to put them on the pages! This album has 24 pages in it. So you might not be seeing much from me this week other than these pages. Since I have to be quick with these pages, I haven't written down my materials. If there is something you would like to know about just put it in the comments and I'll get back to you! Here are the first 4 pages I got done. The first page will definitely be the 1st, but I am not glueing anything to the book until I finish all the pages to know what order I want them in. Thanks for stopping by!!

Scrapbook Steals Mid Week Mojo #44

The Scrapbook Steals MWM sketch #44 is a 2 pager this week. It's an awesome sketch and I think it will be great for some of my honeymoon pictures. But I haven't gotten those pictures completely sorted yet. So I decided to use more wedding pictures and just do the first page. I really like how it came out. I used picasa to create the collage at the bottom. The papers are Basic Grey Capella which I got from my friend Brenda in a swap we did with a big group of friends! I had a Capella page kit that I had forgotten about so I used the chip stickers from that and the little bride and groom tags. The rest of the title are AC Thickers in Delight. They are white fabric and I sprayed them with Vintage Pink glimmer mist. Thanks for stopping by!

The Men!

This is going to be a quick post to share my LO for the DCWV May challenge. I played canasta this morning and I won!! This is the first time I have won 1st place out of 8 players! It was very exciting! Anyway, here is my LO. I am not sure if I like it. I had big ideas for using my glimmer mist. I made a mask with a cut from the Storybook cartridge. I got the idea from my friend Lisa, here. I love how she did her background and wanted to try it out. For my first attempt, I think it's ok. I want to try some other designs in a full 12x12 sometime. I used a Stampin' UP's very vanilla cs for the base. I started with Old Lace and then added Juneberry Wine glimmer mist on top. I am not sure you can tell there are 2 colors and this was really hard to photograph. I used DCWV's Black Currant for my pp, a Martha Stewart border punch, Making Memories alphas, & Recollections glitter chipboard. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Baby!

I loved the color combo at SPCC this week! I think Rich Razzleberry is my all time favorite Stampin' UP color! I use it a lot! I think it turned into a pretty cute baby card. I used the New Arrival cricut cartridge to cut out the cute little baby outfit! I have such a hard time photographing this Pink Pirouette color. It's so light. Hopefully you can see it all right. Thanks for stopping by!

Here are my supplies:
Prima flowers
Making Memories brad
Marshmallow Glimmer Mist
Stampin' UP: Punch Bunch stamp, border punch, tag punches, Pacific Point cs, Rich Razzleberry cs & dsp, Pink Pirouette ink & dsp

Princess For a Day!

Hey bloggie buddies! I have another LO for my wedding album! I really like how this one turned out. I had this idea to put some lacy ribbon on the "princess" title to make it look like a veil. I *knew* I had the perfect ribbon for it and tore my craft room apart looking for it for the past 2 days. I finally gave up and at the last minute found this ribbon that I forgot I had! I think it worked pretty well although it's hard to see in the picture.

Here is my recipe:
Once Upon A Princess & Storybook cricut cartridges
Prima flowers
American Crafts brads
Making Memories alphas
Pebbles Mr & Mrs pp & jewels
Teresa Collins Timeless trims
Stardust Stickles
Stampin' UP: Melon Mambo cs, Rich Razzleberry cs & ribbon

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes!

Here is a card I whipped up pretty fast this afternoon. I was able to use all scraps! The seahorse is from Doodlecharms, the waves from Life is a Beach, & the frame is from Elegant Edges. The buttons are from Basic Grey's Boxer collection. I used some Hampton Art glitter glue on the seahorse's eye and Waterfall Stickles on the waves. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Polka Dot "Surprise!" Even with the title of the stamp set, I did not realize that there are polka dots in the words! I LOVE how it looks! Scrapbook Steals Mid Week Mojo #42

Hey Bloggie buddies! Here is my take on Mid Week Mojo #42! This is such a great sketch! Other than the stitching, it took me no time at all! That's rare these days! I used one of my new Sew Easy heads to stitch the heart border. I just wish I knew how to better estimate how much floss I am going to need. I had to cut it a few different times. But I am pleased with how it turned out. The cardstock is all Bazzill. I used the Bo Bunny Jazmyne collection for the pp, chipboard sticker, flower, & brad. I used Jewelry Box Thickers for the title.

Meeting Robyn & Karlee!

Happy Monday! I was able to get one more challenge done for My Pink Stamper's NSD challenges. This one is #7 to make a scrapbook page. I used sketch #14 from Frosted Designs. I decided to use the picture of me with Robyn and Karlee from the Cricut Stampede. You can read all about the Stampede here. The MME So Sophie Graceful kit was perfect for this picture! All of the paper and the journaling card are from that collection. I used 3 different kinds of Thickers for the title: Poolside, Tiara, & Sprinkles. I had so much fun making my 3D flower yesterday that I decided to make another one. This time I used Mother's Day Bouquet to cut out 3 flowers at 2", 3", & 4" and layered them. I curled all the petals and added an American Crafts glitter brad. I journaled with my Stampin' UP Crushed Curry & Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write markers. Thanks for stopping by!

My Pink Stamper challenge #5

Ok, last one for awhile. Here is My Pink Stamper's challenge #5 to make Any 3-D item OR if that is too much of a challenge then add a 3-D item on your scrapbook page or card! I don't really make many 3D items, so I chose to make a large 3D flower for a card. I learned how to make these flowers at the Cricut Stampede in Teresa Collin's class. I cut out 5 five petal flowers from Mother's Day Bouquet. Then you fold 4 of them in half twice. Staple them all together and add the 5th one to the top of the whole thing. I used double sided paper and alternated the back petals. I used my bone folder to fold back the top flower petals. I added an American Crafts glitter brad to the center. My Stampin' UP supplies are: Baja Breeze cs, Sweet Slumber dsp, Cherry Cobbler ink, & Birthday Whimsy stamp. Thanks for stopping by!

My Pink Stamper challenge #8

I'm back again with My Pink Stamper's challenge #8 to make a summer themed project! I love my flip flops! Here in Texas I pretty much wear them all year long! I used the card feature on Life is a beach. The pp is Doodlebug. I added some Grape Glitz Stickles to make them sparkle! I stamped the flower border with Stampin' UP's Printed Petals and Rich Razzleberry ink. I wish it would have turned out a little straighter. Oh well... Thanks for stopping by!

My Pink Stamper challenge #11

Good morning bloggie buddies! I am still trying to squeeze some of these NSD challenges in. This is for My Pink Stamper's #11 to make a project and use Pink, Green and Black in it! I have been wanting to use MPS's Even More Punny-licious for awhile. I love the "Turtley Awesome" stamp! I used the turtle from Create a Critter. The cardstock is all scraps from my stash. The pp is from Echo Park's Sweet Summertime collection as well as the sun sticker. The ribbon is some that I got from the ribbon swap when I went to the Cricut Stampede! I thought it was perfect for this card! The cute little face on the turtle is a Peachy Keen Everyday Character face at 3/4". Thanks for stopping by!

My Pink Stamper challenge #6

My Pink Stamper's #6 challenge is to incorporate a TAG into your project! I LOVE my Stampin' UP Too Terrific Tags stamp set! I used that one with the Chic Boutique for this card. I also used Regal Rose & Rose Red cs and ink, and my small and large tag punches. The pp is from Echo Park's Be Mine collection. I attached the tag with a Making Memories Halloween shimmer brad. And then added some crinkle ribbon to the bottom! Thanks for stopping by!

My Pink Stamper challenge #2

My Pink Stamper is doing a challenge every hour on the hour today! I think there will be 12 challenges! Challenge #2 is to make a card or scrapbook page using Kraft cardstock. Here is my recipe: Recollections kraft cs, Create A Critter cricut cartridge, American Crafts pp, Stampendous Fun Flock, Prima flower, brad (not sure, maybe Making Memories), My Pink Stamper Tweetie Hoo Puns stamp, Stampin' UP Only Orange ink, & Tuscan Sun Glimmer Mist. I sprayed the whole card front with the glimmer mist. Trying to avoid overspraying like I did the other day, I think I undersprayed this time. It's really hard to tell that there is any mist in the picture. Hope you're having a great NSD!! Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Girl!!

Good Morning bloggie buddies! Happy National Scrapbooking day!! Saturdays are not usually crafty days for me, but I am going to try and sneak some scrapping time in! I made this card for my cousin who is turning 12! I used the Wrap it Up cricut cartridge for the castle. I think it turned out soooo cute! It has 4 layers and I just love how dimensional it looks with all the layers on! I decorated the castle with I-rock gems and used some Basic Grey pearls at the bottom. I added a little 3/8" Peachy Keen Dolly Dumplin face in the doorway! The Birthday Girl stamp is from My Pink Stamper's Pinka-licious set. The If the crown fits stamp is from Pink By Design's Rock On set. My Stampin' UP supplies are: Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, & Rich Razzleberry cs; Razzleberry Lemonade dsp; scallop oval punch; Rich Razzleberry ink; & Basic Black Stampin' Write marker. Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

First Dance!

Here is a 2 page LO of the first dance my husband and I had at our wedding. I wanted to do some experimenting with my glimmer mist today. I cut out a heart from George and Basic Shapes and used my 2 way glue to temporarily glue it to my paper. Then I sprayed it with Graphite Glimmer Mist. I like how it turned out except I think I sprayed too much. I got some big globs which I then tried to "fix" with a paper towel. I think it made it worse. Anyway, after it dried it doesn't look as bad. Here is my recipe: Echo Park Be Mine Collection, Elegant Edges & George & Basic Shapes cricut cartridges, Making Memories Noteworthy Ava flowers, Making Memories flower brads, Graphite Glimmer Mist, Stampin' UP: Basic Gray Stampin' Write marker. Thanks for stopping by!

Pinka-licious!

Hey bloggie buddies! It's a beautiful day in Texas today! On Sunday it was in the mid 90's and dropped down about 40 degrees within a few hours! Right now it's a perfect 74! I just wish it would stay like this for longer than a day! We will be back into the 100's by the weekend I think. I loved the color combo at PPC this week! I'm not sure what I'll do with this card yet, but I think it turned out pretty cute! Here is my recipe: American Crafts ribbon, Basic Grey half pearls, My Pink Stamper Pinka-licious stamp, Stampin' UP: Modern Label, scallop oval & circle punches; Early Espresso bakers twine, Very Vanilla cs, Wild Wasabi ink, Melon Mambo ink & cs, Pink Pirouette ink & dsp, Tropical Party stamps. Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapbook Steals Mid Week Mojo #37

Here is last LO for the Sapphire club! This is the sketch from week #37 for Scrapbook Steals MWM. I knew as soon as I saw the sketch that I wanted to use dancing pictures from the wedding. It's just taken me this long to finally get the collages printed out. I used Picasa to create my collages and it was a little frustrating. I was going for a 9x9 and a 9x3. They are close but not exact. I used Little Yellow Bicycle's Love Letters collection for everything except the music note. The music note is from Gypsy Wanderings. Now that I "kind of" know what I am doing with the Picasa collages, I can do some similar LO's to complete the dancing pictures. There are a lot of them! Thanks for stopping by!
