PPC #29, Tuesday Morning Sketches #58, BBTB2 Mini Monograms
This card is for a friend of mine who is turning 35 this month. She is a follower, but I am hoping she doesn't see it before I send it. I don't think she has been reading my blog all that closely...I guess I'll find out :)
I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches (#58) and the color combo from PPC (#29). And Bitten by the Bug 2's challenge was to use the Mini Monograms cricut cartridge which is where the 35 came from. As soon as I saw the color combo on PPC this week, I knew immediately that I wanted to use the Pebbles May Bouquet collection. The pp, metal flower brad, and paper flowers all came from that collection. The ribbon, of course, is American Crafts. The cake stamp is from Close to My Heart's Birthday Blocks. I used Stampin' UP's Marina Mist ink and then took my So Saffron (I didn't have Daffodil Delight) Stampin' Write marker to color in the candles. Then I used the Stampin' Write markers in So Saffron and Marina Mist on the Birthday Wishes stamp (from SU's Watercolor Trio). The stamp on the inside of the card is from Inkadinkado's Floral Flourishes. I stamped it with the Marina Mist ink and then colored in the centers with the So Saffron Stampin' Write marker.
