Throwback Thursday and Tuesday Morning Sketches

This is the first time I have combined 2 challenges into 1 project but I was limited on time this week. The first challenge is Emma's Throwback Thursday. The requirements were to use the Zooballoo cricut cartridge or any other older cart using an animal theme. I don't have Zooballoo so I used Animal Kingdom. Then I took the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. They are having a month long birthday celebration. You can use any of their past sketches. I chose to use sketch #1. I wanted to make a birthday card for someone who likes frogs. It didn't end up exactly as I was picturing it. The frog ended up a little big I think. It is hard to see the Doodlebug patterned paper behind it. Also since I don't have any "punny" stamps yet, I had to use my little alphas to write out "Hoppy Birthday." Since I only had 1 p and 1 y, I had to leave spaces and then go back and add the 2nd ones. I guess I pushed a little harder the second time because they are a little thicker. This was also my first time using the little alphas. I am not sure I like it, but it works in a pinch. I am also a little sad that the ribbon doesn't show much, but you can see it on the inside. Anyway, I guess this is not my favorite card. Let me know what you think! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

  2. I relate to this, as I am always critiquing my own work! I think it's an adorable card. Even if you would do it a little different if you did it again, this one is still cute and fun.
I do think I've gotten better at the alphabet stamps after doing it a while. At least you got all the letters in there! ;)
I also really like the idea of using our older stuff. New stuff is so much fun but I don't want to abandon the older supplies either. Good work!
