Sketchy Thursday 9/9, The Shabby Tea Room #27

Here is another layout for my engagement album. Only a few more to go! I used the sketch from Sketchy Thursday 9/9 and it fit the theme over at The Shabby Tea Room. Challenge #27 is called Fresh Living to be inspired by nature and use the color green. These pictures were taken at Laguna Gloria in Austin. I started with the title "grow" from the cricut cartridge Home Accents. It almost didn't make it on the page. I wasted A LOT of paper trying to cut it out. I guess because it is so intricate it kept ripping. I finally got this one with one small boo-boo which is why there is a Stampin' UP flower brad in the middle! I used the Martha Stewart arch lattice punch on the border at the bottom. The cardstock is SU's Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery, and Baja Breeze. I used the Certainly Celery and Baja Breeze ink to stamp the background with the Eastern Blooms stamps. With the exception of the "grow" debacle, this LO came together very quickly! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Cute page. Try setting the speed really slow when you have a fussy cut..you might also have to ease up the pressure a bit.
